Josephine South

Josephine South age 82, resident of Shawneetown Illinois passed on this life December 19, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. Josephine was born on August 11, 1939 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Joseph and Isabelle Gordon. She married the love of her life Kenny South.

Josephine loved music just as much as she loved dancing. Everyone knew her favorite music came from Merle Haggard. She couldn’t resist Chicken-n- Dumplings or a plate full of Biscuits & Gravy. She loved to spend time surrounded by family and friends. She will truly be missed by many.

Josephine is survived by daughters, Terri Cummings, Tammy Sullivan and Tracy Patton. Brother Frankie of Scotland and sister Ann of Scotland. 5 Grandchildren, Heather Hyatt, Cory Lamprich, Deanna Payne, Scott DeFever, and Ryan (Candace) Jordan. 4 Great Grandchildren, Krystal, Joseph, Onna, and Mason Lamprich. 4 Great Great Grandchildren Austin, Jacoblyn, Draven, and Brennan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenny South.  A memorial service will be held at a later date for Josephine South.
