Alex ""Red"" Logan

Alex Clayton ""Red"" Logan, age 84 of Junction, IL passed on this life Sunday, March 2, 2008 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.

Red as most knew him was born in Junction on September 5, 1923 to the late Frank and Terah (Bradley) Logan. He was married to Vera (Maynard) who preceded him in death in 1994.

Red served his country during World War II in the Army and had retired from the Peabody Coal Mines. His favorite past time was fishing on the river, he loved to visit with his friends and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by 1 Son - William Allen Logan of Champaign, IL , 1 Daughter - Linda Kanady of Shawneetown, Il, 2 Grandchildren Anita and Bryan, 5 Great Grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Luke, Justin, Jason. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Son - Alex ""Zeke"" Logan, 5 Sisters and 3 Brothers.

Visitation for Red will be Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 5 to 8 PM at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hall officiating.

Interment will be at Bradley Cemetery near Junction with military rites.
