Alice Marie Belt

Alice Marie (Lowery) Belt, of Morganfield, KY passed away on April 6, 2026, in Eldorado,IL. Alice was born on June 13, 1951, in Eldorado, IL to the late Roy Clarence and Clyda Marie (Smith) Lowery.

 Alice met the loved of her life, Hurley "Charlie" Belt, they formed a union on November 27,1983. Alice enjoyed sewing and together they shared a love for fishing and traveling. They explored new places and made countless unforgettable memories on their journeys.

Alice's family was the cornerstone of her existence. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Hurley "Charlie" Belt; her daughters, Tina Louise (the late Daniel Keith "Boone") Omohundro and Kelley Marie (Garry) Mitchell; and her Stepson, Lincoln Ray (Lana) Belt. She also leaves behind her brother, James Ray Lowery, as well as four cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Roy Clarence and Clyda Marie Lowery; her brothers Roy Kenneth Lowery, Walter "Bud" Clarence, and David Ralph Lowery; and her sisters Wynonia Cordelia and Lillian Faye Lowery. She was also preceded by her late son-in-law, Daniel Keith "Boone" Omohundro.

A visitation for Alice will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 2:00- 3:00pm at the Vickery Funeral Chapel 274 West Marshall Avenue, Shawneetown, IL 62984. Services are to follow after visitation. Burial will follow at Webber Campground Cemetery in Galatia, IL.

Alice’s life was an enduring testament to her love for family and the simple pleasures she held dear — sewing, fishing, and traveling with her beloved husband. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, forever a source of comfort and inspiration.
