Aliene Maude Tucker, age 90 died peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Ridgway Nursing & Rehab Center surrounded by her family. Aliene was born on the family farm North of Ridgway to the late Ernie & Anna (Riley) Rodgers on October 6, 1922. Aliene was married to Jim Tucker who preceded her in death.

Aliene worked most of her life as a cook in many of the local grills and restaurants. She loved cooking, taking care of people and Cardinal Ballgames. She also loved to garden and be outside, but most of all she loved her son Phillip. She was a good Christian woman, a good mother, wife, sister and friend and will be missed.

Aliene is survived by her son Phillip Tucker of Shawneetown, a brother Leon ""Cutter"" and Lois Rodgers of Junction, sisters, Anna Lois Lackey of Roxanna, IL, Vicki & Jerry Walker of Shawneetown and Phyllis Ballard of Hudson, FL. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bill, Edgar and Charles Rodgers, and 3 sisters, Elsie Grumley, Suzanne Park and Betty Rodgers.

Per her request cremation is accorded. A memorial funeral service for Aliene will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown with Rev. Jack Hall officiating. The family will receive friends after 12 Noon at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.
