Anna Ruth Black

Anna Ruth Black age 84 died peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2014 at her home in Cleburne, Texas. Anna Ruth was born on May 7, 1930 in the Saline Mines area South of Shawneetown to the late Albert and Edith (Scroggins) Stanley. She was married to Charles Black, Jr. on Feb. 16, 1948, he preceded her in death in 1991. Anna Ruth was an Administrative Assistant for the Exxon Corporation for over 30 years before retiring. She was a protestant by faith. Anna Ruth was a kind soul who will be greatly missed.

Anna Ruth is survived by a brother, Jack and Alberta Stanley of Texas and a sister, Lovene Leavell of Carmi, IL, a sister in law, Dorothy Mitchell of Elk Grove Village, Il and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother James Mitchell, 2 sisters, Vivian Gosnell and Virginia Patton

There will be a graveside service on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Palestine #2 in Omaha, IL next to her husband. Rev. Harold Miller will officiate.
