Barbara L Satterfield

Barbara L. Satterfield, age 68 of Harrisburg, died on Friday, August 8, 2014 in Harrisburg Medical Center surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Eldorado, IL on June 29, 1946 to Paul ""Red"" and Frances (Tison) Douglass. Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse retiring from Harrisburg Medical Center. She was the Secretary at the River of Life in Harrisburg for last 25 years. She was a true servant of the Lord with a heart of gold. Her life was her family and her church, where she always made a difference in people's life. She loved to do crafts and catering. Barbara was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be so missed by her church, family and friends.

Barbara is survived by 1 daughter, Belynda and Mark Boyd of Mountain Grove, MO, and 3 sons, Bob and Tracy Satterfield of Kennett, MO, Marc Satterfield and Cindy Smothers of Harrisburg, IL and James and Kelli Satterfield of Harrisburg, IL. Her mother, Frances Douglass of McLeansboro, IL and a brother, Gene Douglass of McLeansboro, IL. Grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, and Easton Satterfield, Aaron, Brett, and Corde Boyd, Jordan, Alexis, Mandey, Blane, and Tysen Satterfield, Angela Webb, Wesley Leach and Shane Jones and 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Douglass.

Visitation for Barbara will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the River of Life Church in Harrisburg from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Her funeral will follow starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Walpole, IL.

In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the River of Life church in her memory, envelopes will be available at the church.
