Benny L Dozier

Benny L. Dozier, age 68 of Shawneetown died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Benny was born in Harlan County, Ky on July 22, 1941 to the late Everett and Sudie (Brock) Dozier. Benny was married on November 16, 1964 to Brenda Joyce (Lewis) Dozier. Benny was retired from the Coal Mines after 31 plus years with the Peabody Coal Company. He was a good husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Benny is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Dozier of Shawneetown, a Son, Benny (Norma) Dozier,Jr. of Shawneetown, 3 Daughters, Cindy(Mark) Frailey of Shawneetown, Joy(Brad) Schrieber of Evansville, In, and Cheryl(Sonny) Hazel of Shawneetown. 2 Brothers, Jim Dozier of Kentucky and Buddy Dozier of Florida, 4 Sisters, Bobbie (Charlie) Moore of Shawneetown, Il, Phyllis Dozier of Shawneetown, Margie Hinley of _______, and Sharon Robbins of Shawneetown. 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. And 2 special Nephews, Louie and Kenny Edmonds.

Services for Benny will be Tuesday, July 20, 2010, starting at 1:00 PM at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. The family will receive friends after 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Bob Powell will officiate and interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality
