Betty Lampert

 

Betty J. Lampert, age 88 , of Eldorado, IL passed on this life peacefully on March 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Betty was born in Shawneetown, IL on June 27, 1934 to the late William & Martha (Roberts) Ozee.   She was married on May 15, 1984 to Otis Wayne Lampert who has preceded her in death.

Betty was an LPN nurse most of her life taking care of others which she did so well.  She was Baptist by faith and a strong Christian woman.  She loved to crochet, garden, read, do crafts but mostly be with her family.  Her time on this life was short to us but such an impact to many.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gotkin of Eldorado, grandchildren, Ericka Moulton (Matt Mueller), Briana (Michael) McGhee, Brooke (Gabe) Schimp. Step grandchildren, Matt, Mike, Jared and Alexis Willis.  Great grandchildren, Valerie McGhee, Logan Schimp, Darren and Haley Mueller. One brother, Jim (Cleona) Ozee, one sister, Eva Ewen and 2 sister in law, Carol Ozee and Suzette Ozee. She was preceded also by a brother Leonard Ozee, son in law, Brent Gotkin and brother Charles Ozee.

Visitation for Betty will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 12 noon to 2:00PM.  Her funeral service will immediately follow starting at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ted Boulds officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown
