Betty Jean Price, age 86, lifelong Gallatin County resident passed on this life, March 18, 2023 at her home near Omaha.  Betty was born on April 1, 1936 to the late Reid and Hattie (Sims) Monroe in Hardin, County Illinois.  She was married to Clinton Price who preceded her in death.

She grew up in Ridgway where she still loved so much.  Betty was a homemaker who took care of her family all of her life.  She loved her son, grandchildren and siblings so much, they talked everyday by phone.  She was very talented artist especially in crafts.  She has many ribbons and prizes she has won through the years especially the craft show at Popcorn Day each year.  She was a member of the Southern Illinois Crafts Guild.  Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.

Betty is survived by a son Clinton (Diane) Price of Norris City, grandchildren, Ian and Eli Price, great grandchildren, Logan and Brooklyn, sisters, Rita Anderson of Norris City, Judy (Roy) Brown of Dunnellon, Fl, and Janie (Bob) Whitt of Town Creek, AL, she was also preceded by a sister, Jo Zarr.

Visitation for Betty is Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway.  Her funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Palestine #2 Cemetery near Omaha.
