Billy Tom Robertson, age 77 lifelong Shawneetown resident, passed on this life peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Billy Tom was born in Eldorado, on September 7, 1940 to the late Tom and Essie (Brown) Robertson. He was retired from the Laborers Union, Local 773 where he worked in construction for over 40 years before retiring. He loved to be around his friends, enjoyed watching Westerns and Wrestling on TV and working on cars. He was always the same every time you saw him, kind, polite and mannerly. He was a good man with a big heart and will be missed by everyone in the Shawneetown area. Billy Tom is survived by his daughter, Barbara Fowler of Shawneetown, a grandson, Matt Fowler of Carmi and lifelong best friend, Wayne Hardin of Junction. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hewitt. Visitation for Billy Tom will be on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. His funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM. He will then be laid to rest in Hogan cemetery next to his parents.
