Bobby Joe Dye

Bobby Joe Dye, age 77 of Shawneetown passed on this life on March 25, 2017 in the Carmi Manor Nursing Home.  Bobby was born on Jan. 8, 1940 in Morganfield, Ky to the late Leroy Dye Sr. and Virgie (Ringstaff) Dye.  He was married on November 7, 1970 to the former Mary (Durham) Dye who preceded him in death in 2010.  Bobby served his country in the military and had worked for many years as a Emergency Medical Technician with local ambulance services.  He loved to be around his friends and will be missed.

Bobby is survived by 2 brothers, Jim Dye of Gary Indiana and Lonnie Dye of Alabama.  He is also survived by 2 special friends who looked after him, Kathy Oldham and Cathy Garrett.

Per Bobby’s wishes he will be cremated and his remains will be inurned privately.
