Bonita B. Martin

Bonita B. Martin, age 64 longtime resident of Elizabethtown, Il. died on Thursday, January 17, 2013 in the Hardin County Hospital after an extended illness. Bonita was s born in Rosiclare on May 18, 1948 to the late Adrian and Julie (Bell) Holbrook. She loved to crochet which she was very talented. She loved to cook and be with her family. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.

Bonita is survived by her son, Larry (Angie) Ashford of Shawneetown, a daughter, Bobby ""Tubby"" Ramsey of Elizabethtown, 3 granddaughters, Morgan, Lexie, and Chaye, 3 grandsons, Skyler, Gunnar (Aundrea) and Michael, 2 great grandson, Chase and Skyler. 3 brothers, James (Denise) Holbrook of Carrier Mills, Bubby (Willa) Holbrook of Golconda, and Chester (Penny) Holbrook of Cave In Rock, 2 sisters, Becky Barnard of Elizabethtown and Joey Lewis of Rosiclare. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Chase Martin.

Visitation for Bonita will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown fro 12 noon to 2:00 PM, her funeral will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Ed Lafftery officiating and interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown is entrusted with the arrangements.
