Chadwick E. 'Butch' Seets, Sr

Chadwick E. ""Butch"" Seets, Sr. age 52, of Oak Ridge, TN but formerly of Herod, IL, died on March 24, 2012 in Oak Ridge, TN from the result of an automobile accident. Butch as most knew him was born on May 13, 1959 in Herod, IL to the late Ezra and Maxine (Marler) Seets. Butch served his country in the Army and had attended Honeycomb Church when he lived here.

He worked for the Wal-Mart Corporation for the last 12 years. While growing up in this area, he was known for selling the Grit newspaper and mowing lawns. He followed some sports but mostly just worked. He will be greatly missed.

Butch is survived by a son, Chad (Joanna) Seets, Jr of Stanley, WI, 2 Daughters, Desna (Jessie) Mounce of Oak Ridge, TN, Kristen Seets of Elkhart, IN and a step daughter, Katrina (Edward) Harrawood of Elkhart, IN. 5 Grandchildren, Chad Seets, III, Josie Seets, Javion Seets, Emily Seets, and Jeremiah Mounce, 4 Step Grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Jordan and Ashley Harrawood, 1 sister, Mary and Dennis Mitchell of Herod, IL, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Marler,and nephew Chris Mitchell.

Vistation for Butch will be on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway followed by his funeral service at the funeral home starting at 2:00 PM. Rev. Lyndal Sork will officiate and interment will follow at the Colbert Cemetery near Herod, Il with military rites.
