Charles Quentin Vinyard Jr., better known as Chuck, passed away in Evansville, IN, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Chuck was born in Eldorado, IL, on July 13, 1963 to the late Charles Quentin Vinyard Sr. and Iva Jean (Joyner) Vinyard. He spent several years working as a coal miner for Downen Bros. & Peabody, dedicating himself to providing for his loved ones.
Chuck was a kind and loving man who was always up for an adventure and always carried a smile. He had a one-of-a-kind personality and cherished his family above all else. Chuck will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and papa.

In his free time, Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, finding solace and joy in nature's beauty. His love for the great outdoors reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. His greatest joys were his four grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Shelly (Bosaw) Vinyard, his son Matt (Kim) Vinyard, his daughter Ashley (Ryan) Fromm, and his grandchildren Lily, Luke, Ava, and Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Scott (Djuana) Vinyard, brother-in-law Scotty (Chris) Bosaw, sister-in-law Kristy (Steve) Downen, Aunt Sue Joyner, Uncle Bud Joyner, Uncle Gary (Jill) Joyner, alone with nephews and nieces: Shana (Blake) Luckett, Logan Vinyard, Kyler (Hannah) Bosaw, Chloe (Brody) Walker, Grant Bosaw, Audie Goebel, great nephews and nieces: Hayes,Harlow,Hale, Harlyn Reign Luckett, Tripp Vinyard, Rhett and Ridge Bosaw.

Chuck is now reunited with his father Charles Quentin Vinyard Sr., mother Iva Jean Vinyard, and father-in-law Kenny & mother-in-law Barb Bosaw who have gone before him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation for Chuck will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Cox & Son Funeral Home, Ridgway, IL from 4-7:00 PM with Masonic rights at 7:00. Chuck's funeral service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Cox & Son Funeral Home, Ridgway, IL starting at 11:00 AM with Rev Scott Luckett officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown, IL.
