Cynthia L Riggs

Cynthia Lynn Riggs, age 42 of Old Shawneetown, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 as result of an automobile accident. Cindy as most knew her was born in Carmi, IL on January 12, 1969 to Charles ""Jay"" and Donna (McGhee) Barton. She was married to Timothy Riggs on October 20, 2002 who survives. Cindy was always a happy person full of life and smiles. Her passion in life was her children and family. She also loved her animals especially Tigger, Queeny and Missy. Cindy was a good mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Timothy Riggs of Old Shawneetown, 2 sons, Lucas Moore and Jacob Light both of Old Shawneetown, and 1 daughter Maria Tipton of Old Shawneetown. Also by her parents, Charles and Donna Barton of Old Shawneetown and one sister Betty Windle of Shawneetown. 1 very special grandchild, Jaycie Warren and many uncles, aunts, and other family members.

Funeral service for Cindy will be on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown with Rev. Bob Powell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until funeral time on Friday. Interment will be in the Westwood Cemetery.
