David Poshard

David Lewis Poshard passed into his eternal life with God on August 14, 2017 to join his mother, Alma, father, Roy, and siblings, Cathy and Steven. He was employed with the oil & gas industry for 35 years. He traveled the world and was revered by his peers. He was a long time member of Toastmasters, receiving many awards during his tenure. He had a passion in life for nature and an innate ability to bring any landscaping vision to life. In 1983 David met the love of his life, Sue Poshard in a local Tulsa Oklahoma Bar-B-Que, "Rosie's Rib Joint''. They then wed on October 17, 1987 and raisied there three children, son Michael, 41, daughter Laurie, 36, and youngest son Zachary, 24. He also has 8 grandchildren, Addison 10, Matthew 10, Jackson 10, Ryan 5, Ethan 5, and Adam 15 months. Outside of work David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to Astros games, camping, crawfish boils, hunting, and Jimmy Buffett concerts. He was a friend to all and loved by many and will be deeply missed.

David's funeral will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Union Ridge Church near New Haven at 10:00 AM.  The family will receive friends after 9:00 AM.  His burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery next to his parents.
