Della May Bruner

Della May Bruner, age 72 of Equality, IL died peacefully with her family surrounding her on Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Eldorado Nursing and Rehab Center.

Della was born in Gallatin County on June 25, 1943 to the late Rev. Herbert and Flora (Capeheart) Burns. She was retired from Managing Dietary at the Willow Nursing Home. Della had a strong Christian faith, where she was a member of the Equality Full Gospel Church for many years. She loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles and write scriptures. Della had a wonderful kind soul and was always good to everyone. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, and aunt and will be missed by many.

Della is survived by 3 sons, John (Vivian) Sherbenaut of Broken Bow, Neb, Douglas (Michelle) Ranger of Utah and Daniel Hershberger of Michigan. 1 daughter, Jolyn (Rodney) Kinney of Farwell, Michigan. She has 10 granchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Della is also survived by a special niece, Geri and Jim Steel of New Haven. She is preceded in death by her parents and a Sister Mary Ann Miller Kleiner and a brother Donald Burns.

Visitation for Della will be on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral starting 1:00 PM with Rev. Charles Fox officiating and interment will follow in the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
