Deloris Whitaker

Deloris Whitaker, age 80, of New Haven, IL passed on this life at her home after an extended illness.   Deloris was born in Uniontown, KY on August 31, 1942 to the late Noel and Rose (Majors) Morris.  On December 19, 1981 she married Clifford (Buddy) Whitaker who preceded her in death in 2000.

Deloris worked for 26 years at the Bank in Shawneetown as a Bookkeeper before retiring.  She was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat Fan and loved to play Bingo and travel.  She was a faithful member of the New Haven American Legion Auxiliary and had helped raise money for years for the American Heart Association.  She always had a smile and a kind word for you and will be remembered as a good wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Deloris is survived by, daughters, Lisa (Clarence) Hutchinson, Jessica Whitaker, Kathy (David) Fravala, sons, Larry (Tina) Brown, Scott Brown, Tommy (Rae Nell) Whitaker and Kenny Whitaker. A brother Bill (Sue) Morris. 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation for Deloris will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM   Her funeral service will be a graveside service on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Bethel Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ky.
