Donald Eugene Brugger

Donald Eugene Brugger, 70, lifelong resident of the Ridgway area died Sunday, March 14, 2010, in the Ridgway Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Donald was born on Sept. 6, 1939, on the family farm south of Ridgway to the late George and Pauline (Schoney) Brugger.

Donald was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway. Donald worked on the farm until his parents retired then worked for Jones Farm Store in Shawneetown. In his younger years he loved to farm and fish, In his later years his love was driving his car around Ridgway. Donald was a very kind and compassionate person who was a good brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed.

Donald is survived by four brothers, George Brugger of Ridgway, Richard Brugger of Shawneetown, Kenny Brugger of Ridgway and Steve (Annette) Brugger of Ridgway; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, along with two brothers, Michael and Charles Brugger.

Visitation for Donald will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where the prayer service will be said at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway with Fr. Mark Stec celebrating Mass. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
