Donald R. Rister

Donald R. ""Donnie"" Rister, age 69 of Omaha, IL died at his home on November 2, 2014. Donnie as most knew him was born in Shawneetown, IL to the late Donald Rister and Farrel (Stevens ) Hines on July 14, 1946. Donnie graduated Ridgway High School and attended college. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Omaha General Baptist Church, and a member of the Ridgway American Legion and VFW. He was also a Mason. Donnie was a retired farmer.

Donnie is survived by his step mother, Beth Rister of Norris City, a grandson, Case Rister of Junction, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, along with a son, Garrett Rister, a brother, Gary Rister.

Per Donnie's request he will be cremated and he will be inurned privately at the Palestine #2 in Omaha. You can make a donation in his memory to the Omaha General Baptist Church in his memory.
