Ella Jean Bourland

Ella Jean Bourland, age 65 passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012 in her home in Fayette, Alabama. Jean as most knew her was born in Eldorado, IL on January 28, 1947 to the late Doyle and Loretta Jane (Gibson) Perkins. On July 3, 1971 she married Allan Bourland who survives. Jean was a homemaker, she loved to sew, cook, watch basketball but mostly be with her family. She attended the Assembly of God church in Fayette.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Allan Bourland of Fayette, AL, 1 son, James Bourland of Fayette, Al and 1 daughter, Gina (Richard) Simmons of McCalla, AL, 2 grandchildren, Thomas and Timothy Simmons. 1 Aunt, Virginia Hall of Galatia. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Carla Clark, and her twin, Jane Turner, and 1 brother Jim Perkins.

Visitation for Jean will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Her funeral will be on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
