Flora E Sanders

Flora E. Sanders, age 87 of Norris City, IL died on Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Wabash Christian Center in Carmi after an extended illness. Flora was born in New Haven on October 22, 1928 to the late Joseph and Laura (Richards) Bates. In 1947 she was married to Carl Sanders who preceded her in death in 2011.

Flora was a strong Christian woman and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Norris City. She loved to cook and was known for her uncanny cooking skill in the microwave. She loved to visit friends and family and will be missed by many. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Flora is survived by 3 sons, Lyndon (Donna) Sanders of Norris City, Darrell Sanders of Evansville, IN and Bill (Lauar) Sanders of Newburgh, IN. 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death also by, 4 Brothers, Thomas, Wilburn, Arthur and Jewell and 2 sisters, Pauline Cox and Shirley Carney.

A graveside service will be on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. The service will start at 2:00 PM and those attending should go directly to the Cemetery. Rev.
