Florence K. Cox

Florence K. Cox, age 90, Omaha, Il died on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Harrisburg Medical Center, Harrisburg, Il. Florence was born in East St. Louis on July 28, 1924 to the late Robert and Edna (Wykle) Gregg. On June 4, 1942 she married the love of her life, Bricem Cox who survives. Florence and Bricem have lived for over 70 years on their farm North of Ridgway where they raised their family. Florence loved to garden both vegetable and flowers and was known for her beautiful color of flowers around her house. She liked to cook, do sewing crafts and take care of her family. She was a life member of the Eastern Star, Gallatin County Homemakers and was a member of the Ridgway Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Guild. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be so missed by all who knew her.

Florence is survived by her loving husband of almost 73 years Bricem Cox of Omaha, 3 sons, Bob and Sharyon Cox of St. Charles, MO, Gerald and Tracy Cox of Richmond, TX and Mike and Jeanie Cox of Omaha, IL. 4 Grandchildren, Leslie (Brad) Thompson, Traci Cox, Tammy (Bruce) Arnold , and Michael (Angie) Cox. 7 Great Grandchildren, Ellen, Brice, and Blake Thompson, Peyton and Noah Arnold and Jonathan and Gracie Cox. 1 Brother, Robert Gregg of Harrisburg and 2 nephews, Tim and Pat Gregg and a niece, Brigitte Evers.

Visitation for Florence will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 10:00AM to 1:00 PM. Her funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Rev. Wade Halva officiating. Her burial will be in Old Cottonwood Cemetery.
