Frances R Brugger

Frances Ruth (Martin) Brugger, 64, of Junction, passed away Thursday, March 13th, 2014 from complications of a brain injury that resulted from a car accident March 4th in Harrisburg.

Fran was born at home near Cave-in-Rock, IL on August 1st, 1949 to proud parents Herman and Dolly (Long) Martin. She was married to James J Brugger on February 18th, 1969 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and loved children so much that she ran a daycare out of her home for several years.

Fran is survived by her husband James, 2 sons, Timothy and wife Catherine of Ft Worth, TX, and Daniel and wife Dessarae of Quantico, VA, 5 grandchildren, Jade, Jessi, Jenna, Jonathan, and Amanda. Also surviving are her brothers Raymond (Joe) and wife Penny Martin and Marion Martin of Cave-in-Rock, IL along with several nieces, nephews, and numerous loving friends and families. Visitation will be held at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown, IL on Monday March 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm where a prayer service will be said at 4:00 PM

The funeral mass will be Tuesday March 18th at 11:00 am at St Mary's Catholic Church also in Shawneetown. Fr. Steven Beatty will celebrate. Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery located in Shawneetown, IL.

Fran was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a beautiful woman inside and out. She will be missed dearly.
