Diann Duckworth

Frances Diann Duckworth, age 83, lifelong Ridgway resident, passed on this life peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  Diann as most knew her was born in Ridgway on January 31, 1939 to the late Cletus and Gearldean (Vaught) Hendrix.  On September 3, 1960 she married the love of her life, Billy Duckworth who survives.

Diann was always a hard worker, she retired from the Ridgway Manor nursing home after 15 years.  She loved to cook and will be remembered by her children and grandchildren of always fixing special meals for them.  In her younger days she loved to roller skate and dance.  Her real love was her home and her family.  Billy and her made all of the sporting events of their children and grandchildren.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.

Diann is survived by her loving husband, Billy Duckworth of Ridgway, a son, Jamie (Ronda) Duckworth of Shawneetown, a daughter, Kim (Bob) Belford, of Ridgway and a step son, Billy Joe Duckworth.  Grandchildren, Robbie Belford, Ashley Stanley, Tyler Duckworth, Blayne Barker, Adam Rushing.  8 Great Grandchildren, 2 brothers, Vic Hendrix and Rannie (Sandy) Hendrix.  She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsea Belford.

Visitation for Diann will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Her funeral service will be on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the funeral home starting at 1:00 PM.  Rev. Jason Sork will officiate and interment will follow in the Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway.
