Frances Phelps

Frances J. Phelps, age 75, of Omaha, IL passed on this life, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN.  Frances was born in Shawneetown, IL on July 25, 1945, to the late Charles Herman Monroe and Mary Frances (Thorne) Monroe.  On December 24, 1961, she married E. A. Phelps who survives.

Frances was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She dedicated her life to her family always taking care of everyone.  She was a hard worker, enjoying being outside taking care of her garden and yardwork.  Her personality would light up a room with her smile and her favorite thing of kidding people.  Frances's real love was her family and especially her grandchildren when she was with them her smile said everything.

Frances is survived by her husband of 59 years E.A. Phelps of Omaha, 2 daughters, Junalie (Mike) Nelson and Thomasena (John D.) Bowles all of Omaha.  One son, Charles Phelps of North Dakota.   8 Grandchildren, Dustin (Cailee) Nelson, Keefe Phelps, Madison Cox, Bailey Cox, Marshal, Juli, Hayden, and Abel Bowles.  1 great-grandchild, Spencer Phelps.  She was also preceded by 2 brothers, Herman and Tom Monroe
