George W. Brugger

George W. ""Buzz"" Brugger, age 70 lifelong resident of the Ridgway area died Wednesday, May11, 2011 in the Ridgway Manor Nursing, after an extended illness. George was born on November 3, 1940 on the family farm South of Ridgway to the late George and Pauline (Schoney) Brugger. George was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway. George worked on the farm until his parents retired then worked at the Seed Company for many years before retiring. In his younger years he loved to farm and fish and really loved sports especially playing basketball. In his later years his love was visiting uptown each day with his friends. George was a very kind and compassionate person who was a good brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed.

George is survived by 3 Brothers, Richard Brugger of Shawneetown, Kenny Brugger of Ridgway and Steve (Annette) Brugger of Ridgway, 8 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents along with 3 brothers, Michael, Charles, & Donald Brugger.

Visitation for George will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where the prayer service will be said at 7 PM. A funeral Mass will be on Saturday, Mary 14, 2011 at 9:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway with Fr. Steven Beatty celebrating mass. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
