George Douglas Terrell

George Douglas Terrell, age 64, lifelong Gallatin County resident passed on this life October 18, 2022 in Gateway Hospital, Evansville, IN after an extended illness.  Doug as most knew him was born in Eldorado, IL on February 1, 1958 to the late George and Betty (Kitchens) Terrell.

On November 26, 1975 he married his soulmate, Linda (Lane) Terrell who survives, they have spent 47 years together.  Doug was a hard worker and before retirement worked Metal Plants for many years.  He loved to garden, collect John Wayne items and guns.  His real love was his family and will be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather and brother. 

Doug is survived by his wife Linda of Shawneetown, his 2 sons, George (Dina) Terrell of Owensboro, Ky, and Johnny Terrell of Shawneetown. A daughter, Miranda Terrell of Shawneetown.  5 grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Trent, Taylor and Konner and 1 great grand, Willow.  He is also survived by 2 sisters, Virginia (Ronnie) White and Ann (Donnie) James.  He was also preceded by a sister, Lisa Wolf.

Visitation for Doug will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown.  A graveside service will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Elmwood cemetery near Equality starting at 11:00 AM
