Harry Randall Lane

 Harry Randall Lane, father, loving companion, supportive brother, cherished grandfather, and friend passed away at the age of 83 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, September 9, 2017 . Randall was preceded in death by his parents James Alfred and Eula May (Miles) Lane. Randall will forever be remembered by Maxine Robertson his faithful and loving companion of 28 years, by his children Roger (deceased), Pamela Bartholomew (James), by his grandchildren Amanda (Craig Moore), Phillip (Kara) and Josh (Amanda), by his great grandson Reese and by his siblings Luther (deceased), James (deceased), Kenneth (deceased), Charles (deceased, Donald (deceased), Eva (deceased), Ina Riden, Nina Mathews, Herschel Lane (Mary), Virginia Mosby (Jerry) and Linda Berlin (Carroll).

Randall served in the United States Army. Randall commenced his career at Caterpillar working as a machinist and ultimately retired from Caterpillar concluding his career teaching hydraulics. He valued the friendships he formed with his colleagues at Caterpillar.

Randall especially cherished his time with Maxine, his grandchildren and his family. He will be remembered for his gracious character, his sense of humor and his keen ability to make others laugh at his jokes.

Visitation celebrating Randall's life will be held at Cox & Son Funeral home in Ridgway, Illinois on Friday, September 15 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Cox & Son  Funeral Home on Friday, September 15 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Robert Patton officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family at Hill Cemetery.  Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery.
