Hattie Myree Monroe age 89, longtime resident Ridgway passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Ridgway Manor Nursing Home of natural causes. Mrs. Monroe was born November 5, 1917 near Equality, Illinois to the late Thomas and Josephine (Goins) Simms. On July 2, 1935 she was married to Reed C. Monroe, he preceded her in death in 1960. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.
