Helen A. Irvin

Helen A. Irvin, age 70 of New Haven died Tuesday, June 02, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family after battling an extended illness. Helen was born in Michigan on October 2, 1938 to the late Ernest Mulnix and Agnes (Denman) Mulnix. Helen was a very active person always working, was an avid baker and loved being with and helping her family. She worked most of her life as a nurse. She was a good mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by the community.

Helen is survived by 3 sons - Don (Glenda) Russell, II of Ft. Hood, Texas, Darrel (Stephanie) Russell of Mt. Vernon, In, and Roy (Vicki) Russell of New Haven, Il. 3 Daughters - Brenda (Corkie) Pennington of Carmi, IL, Glenda Connor of New Haven, IL, and Patty (Doug) Curles of Evansville, IN. 2 Brothers - Harold (Marion) Mulnix and Howard Mulnix both of Hollywood, Florida. In-Laws - Bob Russell, Mary Vaupel and Margaret Boucherie. 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded per Helen's request. A graveside committal service will be on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
