Helene Celeste Hish

Helene Celeste Hish, age 89 lifelong resident of Ridgway died Friday, October 28, 2011 in Genoa, Wisconsin. Helene had moved to that area to be cared for by her family. She was born in Junction, IL on June 23, 1922 to the late Raymond and Carrie (Drone) Kaufman. She was a lifelong and faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Helene was married to Charlie Hish who preceded her in death. She graduated from High School and had a 3 year degree in college. Her last employment was a Teletype Operator for over 20 years. She love animals and was a very caring person.

Helene is survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul and Lawrence Kaufman, and 4 sisters, Kathleen Gates, Louise, Hazel and Dorothy Kaufman.

Graveside services for Helene will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Ridgway starting at 11:00 AM. Fr. Steven Beatty will officiate. Those attending should meet at the cemetery.
