Hilward C. Willoughby, age 79 of Shawneetown, IL died Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. Hilward was born in Louisville, KY on November 12, 1933 to the late John and Anna (Bradshaw) Willoughby. He worked as a roofer. He was protestant. Hilward loved to do word games and puzzles, fish but mostly loved to talk and visit with his family and friends. He was married to Viola (Randall) Oldham who survives.

He is survived by his wife, Viola of Shawneetown, Sons, Charles Willoughby of Beaver Dam, KY, James (Sandy) Willoughby of Fordsville, KY, and Richard (Christie) Willoughby of Omaha, IL. Daughters, Sherry Hayes of Beaver Dam, KY, Lisa (Dean) Raney of Shawneetown, IL, Tonya (Gary) Hohimer of Beaver Dam, KY. Step Daughters, Gatha Hise, Rhonda Twitchell, and Selma Harness and a step son, Delbert Oldham. 19 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Brother, Bobby Willoughby, Georgia, Sisters, Joyce Willoughby of Beaver Dam, Glenda Calloway of Hartford, Sue Calloway of Hartford, Joan Collard, of Louisville, Patsy Jones, of Louisville, Juanita Strieff of Lexington, Ky, Dora of Indiana, Donna Fay Mills of Louisville and Anna Mae Dearinger of Louisville. Preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Mae (White) sons, Robert and Kenneth and a daughter, Terry Lynn, brothers, Jerry and John Willoughby and a sister Stella Dearinger and 2 grandchildren, Victoria and Danielle.

Visitation for Hilward will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 5 to 7 PM and his funeral service will follow Tuesday night at 7 PM. Rev. Chris Tucker will officiate. A graveside service will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, KY starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Hohimer officiating. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
