Jackie L. (Jack) Milligan, 70, died Monday evening at the Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born June 19, 1941 in Equality, Illinois to James A. and Thelma S. Milligan.

Jack retired in 2002 from Jader Fuel where he worked as a purchasing agent. He served his country as a member of the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany for two years. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and received his 32nd degree. Jack loved to be outside, gardening, fishing and especially riding his golf cart around town. Jack loved to be in Ridgway where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann (Murphy) Milligan; a son Mike (Susan) Milligan of Newburgh, IN, a daughter Amy Graber (Mark) of Montgomery, IN, and seven grand-children; Austin Miller, Katie, John and Elise Milligan all of Newburgh, IN and Tailon, Macin and Karlye Graber of Montgomery, IN. He is also survived by a brother, Jim Milligan (Carol) of Red Bud, IL and a sister Ruth Ann Kepperling (David) of Clermont, FL. His mother in law, Marilouise Murphy, and a brother in law, Hubert Koester.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Grace Milligan, a brother, David Milligan and two sisters, Barbara Milligan and Judy Koester.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Burial will be in Lindale Memorial Cemetery in Eldorado with military rites. Pastoral Asst. Jean Wills will preside over his service.
