Jan Scott

Jan G. Scott of  Ridgway age 76 passed on this life on October 21, 2018 in the Gallatin Manor in Ridgway.  He was born in Taylorville on January 14, 1942 to the late Robert and Ruth (Stedman) Scott.  He retired from Caterpillar.

Jan served his country in the U.S. Army, loved to ride motorcycles and follow drag racing.  His true passion was reading the bible, and trying to lead people to the Lord.  He was a member of the Tower of Light church in Marion.

Jan is survived by children, Nita Tolbert of Equality, Shari Hupp of Divernon, IL, Paul Scott of Carlinville, IL, James Scott of Springfield, IL and Tim Scott of Taylorville, IL.  6 Grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  His siblings are, Billy, Bobby and Kenneth Scott, Catherine Stafford, Mary Ann and Norma Scott, Dorothy Dougherty and Janice Smith
