Jayla Beth Sisk, born on September 3, 1980, in Evansville, IN., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 23, 2024, in Louisville, KY. Jayla's bright spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all those around her. From a young age, Jayla had a deep love for people and a natural talent for hospitality. She pursued her passion by working as a dedicated waitress who always made others feel welcome and valued. Jayla's infectious smile and caring nature brightened the days of countless patrons. She believed that making others happy was one of life's greatest joys. Beyond her career in the service industry, Jayla also had a creative side that she nurtured through crafting. She had an artistic flair and an eye for detail that allowed her to create beautiful pieces. Jayla poured her heart into every creation. Her crafts were not only impressive but also served as tokens of love that she shared with friends and family.

In addition to her professional achievements, Jayla cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Her family meant the world to her, and she treasured every moment they shared. Jayla is survived by her husband Nick Sisk; her mother Jan (Drone) Phillips; father- and mother-in-law Frank and Denise Sisk; son Cade Hopson; daughter Mia Sisk; brother Blake (Sarah) Drone; sister Randi (Drone) Vickery; grandmother Betty Jo Roark; and an extensive circle of family and friends. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

During her final days, surrounded by the embrace of her family, Jayla faced her journey with courage and grace. Her unwavering strength inspired all who were privileged to witness it. Although Jayla's physical presence may be gone, her love and influence continue to shine through the memories shared by all whose lives she touched.

In honor of Jayla's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Mia Sisk educational fund in Lieu of flowers. This gesture would not only celebrate Jayla's passion for education but also ensure a brighter future for her beloved daughter.

Jayla was Preceded in death by her Father, Vince Drone, and her Grandparents.

Visitation for Jayla will be Monday, January 29, 2024 from 9:00 - 10:45 AM at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway, IL. Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway, IL with Fr. Vincent Mukasa officiating. Internment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
