John L Cox

John L. Cox, age 68 longtime New Haven resident died at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. John was born in New Haven on March 5, 1946 to the late Lee Roy and Hazel (Teal) Cox. On September 28, 1965 he married the love of his life, Barbara (Musgraves) Cox who survives. John owned and operated for many years Cox Disposal service before retiring. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and coon hunting. He was a real family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He will be missed by the community.

John is survived by his wife, Barb of New Haven, 2 sons, Mike (Tommie) Cox of New Haven, David (Amy) Cox of Norris City, 2 sisters, Janet Cox and Nola Kay Williams both of New Haven. 9 Grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Kelsea, Jacob, Brody, Trey, Logan, Levi, and Dalton. 2 Great Grand, Mackensey and Krystin.

Visitation for John will be on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. His funeral will be on Sunday at the funeral home starting at 1:00PM with Rev. Todd Holtzclaw and Rev. Sonny Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
