John Eldon Henson

John Eldon Henson, age 77 of Eldorado, IL. Passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He born on March 6, 1946 in Eldorado, IL. To James Anderson and Lela (Griffin) Henson. John was a retired bus driver for Eldorado School. He married Yvonne (Foley) Henson on March 20,1970 and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2017.

John is survived by one son, John and wife Lori of Ridgway, IL.  Two Grandchildren Chase and Aric Henson. Three step Grandchildren, Bryon, Nicholas & Grace Wargel.  Three siblings, Evelyn Mae Watson, Eddie Henson & Ernie Henson. Numerous nieces and nephews survive also.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one son, Shannon Ray Henson. Granddaughter, Braiden Nicole Henson, two brothers and two sisters.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway, IL. The service will be conducted by Aaron Phelps. A private inurnment will follow at  Asbury Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Asbury Cemetery.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.
