John Wayne Money

John Wayne Money, age 64, of Norris city died Friday March 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. John was born on January 11, 1950 in Salem, IN to the late Bertha and Everett Money. He was preceded in death by his companion, Wanda Holtzclaw, in June 2013. He and Wanda owned and operated J&W logging company until they retired. He enjoyed watching western movies and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Joanne (Joe) Alvey of Owensboro, Ky and Edna Anker of Madison, IN. 2 step daughters, Daphney (Dale) Kerns of Norris City and Stephanie (Tracy) Nelson of Carmi. 5 grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Kerns, Lacey Bradshaw, Luke and Alex Nelson. 2 great grandchildren, Davyn Anderson and Jett Bradshaw. A special nephew, John (Sarah) Money of Norris city and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Everett Money, 2 brothers, Clarence and Paul Money and a sister, Lois Jean Money.

Services will be Sunday, March 16th at the Cox and Son funeral home in Ridgway starting at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM. After the service he will be cremated and his ashes will be interred privately by the family.
