Joseph J. Camire

Joseph J. Camire, age 79 of Shawneetown, IL died March 26, 2013 in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, In. Joe was born in New Bedford, Mass on April 13, 1933, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Hodgin) Camire.

He was married to Marilyn (Park) Camire who preceded him in death. Joe served his country in the Navy. He was very active in the VFW while living in Arkansas. He loved woodworking especially building cabinets as that was his life retiring from the One Source company. Joe was a simple man, but had so much compassion for others, loved to work with his hands and always had a smile for you.

He is survived by two sons, Joe Camire of Anson, Maine, and, Bruce Camire of Springfield, Mass., 2 daughters, 3 step sons, Edward, Kenny and John Ericson and a step daughter, Mary Tilley. 9 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren, his companion Penny Barlow of Shawneetown, a Sister in Law, Wynell (Roger) McCallie of Shawneetown. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joel Camire.

Per his request he was cremated and he will be inurned privately in the Mt. Oval Cemetery next to his wife.
