(Ridgway, Il.) Judith W. Jones age 76, longtime resident of Ridgway, IL passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Ferrell Hospital surrounded by her family. Judy, as most knew her, was born on September 2, 1930 on the family farm in the Oak Grove Community, to the late Thurman and Nina (Cox) Woolard. In October of 1950 she married Paul Jones, who survives. Judy graduated from Eldorado High School in 1947. Judy worked for 41 years at the ASC (FSA) office in Ridgway before retiring in June 1990. Judy and Paul also owned and operated the Jones Farm Store in Ridgway for many years. She was a member of the Oak Grove General Baptist Church during her youth. Later she attended the United Methodist Church in Ridgway. Judy was always very active in the community with the Woman's Club, Home Extension Unit, Popcorn Day Festival, where she was the Grand Marshall in 1990, Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Pi. Judy was a good wife, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
