Judith Lee

Judith F. “Judy” Lee, age 78, of lifelong Ridgway resident passed on this life Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her home.  Judy as most knew was born on the family farm North of Ridgway near Cottonwood on August 30, 1941 to the late Cedric and Roberta (Drone) Naas.  On June 12, 1961 she married Frank “Sonny” Lee who survives.

Judy graduated from Ridgway High School and then furthered her education at the St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Evansville, IN becoming a Registered Nurse.  She started working in Pearce Hospital in Eldorado and then moved to Harrisburg Medical Center where she retired after 27 years.  She was an excellent nurse and was always looked up to by her fellow workers.  Her passion was helping others and her work ethic was second to none.  She loved to shop but mostly loved her family.  Judy was a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Sonny of Ridgway, a son, Jeff (Patty) Lee of Olney, 2 daughters, Cindy (Brad) Short of Norris City, and Amy Wilson of Carmi, IL.  Grandchildren, Whitney (John) McManus, Dylon (Sequoia) Lee, Braden (Danielle) Short, Hailey Short, Hannah and Madison Wilson.  Great Grandchildren, Hunter, McKenzie, and Bree McManus and Bralyn Short.  Sister, Sharon (Pat) McGuire and 2 deceased brothers, George and Teddy Naas.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, her funeral service will be private.  She will be laid to rest in the St. Patrick Cemetery near Ridgway.
