Judith McGuire

December 24, 1939 — August 1, 2024

Ridgway

Judith A “Judy” McGuire, born December 24, 1939, to the late Ray and Irma (Doherty) Rider, passed from this life peacefully on August 1, 2024, at Ascension St Vincent Hospital on their comfort care/hospice floor.

She married the love of her life Robert J McGuire on June 5, 1957, and at the time of his passing they had been married for 66 1/2 years. They were married at St. Patrick’s Church in Pond Settlement, and both were members of the parish, and continued their faith as it became part of St Kateri Tekakwitha Parish. Her work career spanned nearly 50 years with Gallatin County State Bank / Banterra Bank. She was also the wife of a farmer, which required a very special skill set. She was the treasurer of the Daughters of Isabella for many years and a member of the St Kateri Altar Society. She also served as chaplain with the local American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. The things that she valued, more than anything, were her faith and her family. She said many times she was blessed with her wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons: Mike (Tracy), Steve (Kendra), and Kevin, seven grandchildren Marissa (Josh) Howard, Heather (fiancé Sam Soto), Thomas (Lindsay), Jonathan (Victoria), Wesley (Laura), Zachary (Hailee), Kaylee, five great-grandchildren, Kenton, Scott, Ender, Kate Howard, and Jax McGuire, one sister Norma Volkert.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a daughter Rebecca Ann, father Ray, mother Irma, and brother Robert.
