Kenneth E. Lane, age 78 of Cedar Hill, TN and formerly of Gallatin County, IL died on Monday, December 28, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born in Gallatin County on April 10, 1937 to the late Alfred and Eula Mae (Miles) Lane. He was self employed most of his life, owning and operating Truck Stops, farming and raising cattle. He loved to be outside, sell fruit and really enjoyed dealing with people. He was a good father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed.

Kenneth is survived by, 3 sons, Leonard Bell of Junction, IL, Kenny Lee Bell of Cedar Hill, TN and Kenneth Lane, Jr of Cedar Hill, TN, a daughter, Velma Dale of Cedar Hill, TN. 2 Brothers, Hershel Lane of Junction, IL and Randall Lane of Peoria, IL. 4 sisters, Virginia (Jerry) Mosby of Elizabethtown, Nina Matthews of Elizabethtown, Linda Berlin of Shawneetown and Ina Riden of Harrisburg. 13 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Luther, Donald, Charles and Jim Lane and a sister, Eva Mae Lane.

Visitation for Kenneth will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM. His funeral will immediately follow at the funeral home starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. Robert Patton officiating. His burial will take place in the Hill Cemetery with his family.
