Lawrence Edward Bradley (81) passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023, surrounded by family. Born September 7, 1941 to Claude and Wilma Bradley, Lawrence was raised in Junction, IL with his siblings Burtis and David Bradley. Lawrence married Iris Collins on August 4th, 1968 and they raised two sons.
Lawrence, an army veteran, served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. After returning home, he worked many years at Peabody Eagle #2, then as a carpenter, and retired from RDF, Inc in Eldorado. Family was everything to Lawrence. He loved to be outdoors with family and raised his boys enjoying hunting, fishing, and baseball. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Lawrence was loved and respected by all. He loved spending time in his garden and loved to share the fruits and vegetables of his labor. He was quiet, but his words were full of truth and kindness. He will be remembered for his wisdom and generosity. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. Lawrence was a long time member of Junction First Baptist Church and was currently a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church in Harrisburg, IL.
Lawrence is survived by wife of 54 years, Iris Bradley, two sons, Curtis (Lisa) and Wes (Bekki), eight grandchildren, Makenzie (Nathan) Golden, Evan (Madasen) Bradley, Kacie (Jonathan) Glass, Kyle (Danielle) Lowery, Makalyn Smith, Davis, Tessa, and Ty Bradley and ten great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Grayson Sais, Parker Glass, Leah, Emilia and Hampton Golden, Camryn and Colson Lowery, and Beau and Huck Bradley.  He will be fondly remembered by his brother, David, and his nieces and nephews.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Wilma Bradley, his brother, Burtis.

Visitation for Lawrence will be Monday June 19, 2023 at Cox & Son Funeral Home, Ridgway, IL from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. His funeral will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown, IL.
