Linda McGuire

Linda K. (Lanier) McGuire, age 59 of Ridgway passed on this life, May 22, 2019.  Linda was born in Carmi, IL on January 12, 1960 to the late Walter and Anna (White) Lanier. She grew up in the Cottonwood community.  She graduated from Ridgway High School and furthered her education becoming a Registered Nurse.

She was married to the love of her life, Dan McGuire who preceded her in death.  She worked many years in the medical field before retiring from health reasons.  She loved to read, visit with friends and family and be outdoors.  Linda was an avid Red Wings hockey fan and really enjoyed being with her dog Sam.  Linda had a kind soul and will be missed

She is survived by her son, Corey Lanier of Canada, a sister, Bobbi Catiller of Ridgway, niece. Charity (Josh) Goebel of Ridgway, and nephew, Derek Catiller of Ridgway.  Great nephew and niece, Wyatt and Hope Goebel.

Per her request she will be cremated and be placed to rest next to her husband Dan in the Oak Grove cemetery in Cottonwood.
