Linda Jean Sebastian

Linda Jean Sebastian, 76, of Fuquay-Varina, died on May 1, of complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. Linda was raised in Ridgway, IL the daughter of Mose and Helen Miner.  Linda was an elementary school teacher, enriching the lives of students in Mineola, New York, and Baldwin, New York for over 30 years.
She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and received her Master’s in Special Education from Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York. Linda was always the life of the party with a big smile, a courageous spirit, and deeply loved her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her husband of fifty years, E. Phillip, and two sons, Michael P. (Jennifer) and Stephen A. (Jacqueline) and three grandchildren whom she adored, Sullivan Andrew, Elizabeth Suzanne, and Hunter P. Linda is also survived by her seven brothers and sisters, Joanne Miner, Kay Williams, Janet Lemmons, Anita Miner, Nancy Woolsey, John Miner, Philip Miner and was predeceased by the late William Miner.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 7, at 4:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 3525 Rogers Road, in Wake Forest, 27587. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Lineberger Memorial Fund of Hope Lutheran Church or Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
