Lowell Wilson

Lowell Wilson, age 78 of New Haven died after an extended illness in the Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. Lowell was born the bottoms of White County, IL on June 20, 1932 to the late Howard and Helen (Richardson) Wilson. On January 13,1951 he was married to the former Louise (Hurd) Wilson who survives. Lowell worked for many years farming before retiring. He then went to work for Downen Bros as a Oil Field Pumper. Lowell was always happy and loved to visit with people. He was a good husband, father , grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Louise of New Haven, a daughter, Mary (Mike) Drone of Carmi, a grandson, Keith Drone along with a sister, Margaret (Joe) Reber of New Haven and a brother, Wayne (Fay) Wilson of New Haven.

Visitation for Lowell will be Monday, May 30, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven. A funeral service will following the viewing starting at 4:30 PM with Rev. Roy Holtzclaw officiating.

Per Lowell's request he will then be cremated and his ashes will be interred in the Asbury Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the VNA Hospice of Eldorado. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
