Marilouise Risley

Marilouise Risley, age 66 of Ridgway passed on this life peacefully in Carmi Manor Nursing Home, Carmi, IL on October 24, 2022.  Marilou as most knew her was born in Sun Valley California on July 1, 1956 to the late, Charles and Margaret Butler.  On July 5, 1980 she married her soulmate, George Risley who survives.

Marilou loved to read, watch Christmas movies and take care of her family and home.  She had owned and operated Risley’s Sweet Shop in Ridgway.  Marilou always had a kind word and smile for you.  She was a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband, George of Ridgway, sons, Kris (Lisa) Risley and Charles (Ladonna) Risley both of Ridgway.  Grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Kyle, Heidi, Connor and Ryan.  She is also survived by 2 brothers, Chuck and Darrell Butler.

Visitation for Marilou will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM.  A graveside service will follow at the Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway at 4:00 PM.
