Marjorie Fals

Marjorie Fals, age 90 of Ridgway died on April 10, 2016 in the Wabash Christian Center in Carmi. Marjorie was born in Ridgway on October 28, 1925 to the late Joseph W. & Julia (Wallace) McCormick. On April 24, 1947 she married John S. Fals who preceded her in death in 2005. Marjorie was a faithful member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado for years along with the Altar Society. She was a 4H leader for many years and loved to be outside gardening. In her later years she loved to travel. Marjorie's family was instrumental in building the St. Joseph Church in Ridgway where they also donated the church bells and clock. The bells are now erected in the new St. Kateri Church which she attends. Marjorie was a good mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed.

Marjorie is survived by, a daughter, Julia Wargel of Ridgway, a son, Bill (Connie) Fals of Ridgway, a daughter in law, Rita Fals of Equality. 8 grandchildren, Kelly (Steve) Ramsey, Lisa (Craig) Conner, Tracy (Rob) Nelson, Michelle Rehbein, Kristi Hollingsworth, Alicia (Wade) Gibbons, Ashley (Greg) Webster, and J.W. (Jennifer) Fals. 12 Great Grand, Kylie Nelson, Shane Hall, Tyler Hall, Ned Conner, Ally Nelson, Dan Conner, Ty Hollingsworth, Jack Ramsey, Jacob Gibbons, Will Gibbons, Emily Hollingsworth, and John Luke Fals. 1 great great, Kason Hall. She is preceded in death by, her parents, husband, 2 sons, Robert Michael Fals and Gary Fals, 1 Brother, J.W. Mccormick, 3 sisters, Mary Catherine Oldham, Eva Rider and Regina Reidford.

Visitation for Marjorie will be on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Cox & Son Funeral home in Ridgway from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM with prayer service at 5:00 PM. Marjorie's funeral mass will be on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway starting at 10:00 AM. Fr. Phil Devous will celebrate and she will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.

Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the St. Kateri Catholic Church Building fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
